THIS IS NOT AN AD (I PROMISE)

YES, YOU READ THAT RIGHT! I REALLY DID JUST WRITE AN ENTIRE 1,500+ WORD REVIEW ABOUT THESE SUPPLEMENTS ON MY OWN BECAUSE I LOVE THEM THAT MUCH. MY INSTAGRAM POST ABOUT THEM WAS PAID BUT THIS (AND I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH BECAUSE IT SOUNDS LIKE A LIE) IS ALL ME, BABY.

So I got this Korean Red Panax Ginseng a few weeks ago and I’ve been liking it a lot! First of all, it came on time and the packaging is really nice. I was expecting your standard supplement packaging but it’s actually in a glass amber bottle which I’ve heard is better for things like this and it’s still recyclable so that’s great! I wanted to try this because I’ve always heard it’s great for energy, it helps you focus and remember things (I have the worst memory, I have been known to forget entire movies like week after I watched them so obviously that would be nice), and it does all of that without making you feel jittery or like your heart is racing and you don’t feel that crash like you do with caffeine so obviously that was appealing to me! If you know me, you know that I have insomnia and anxiety(it’s a bit more complex than that, but we’ll leave it as anxiety so this post isn’t super long, lol) so in order to sleep I’m on medications that make me really groggy all day and in order to not be as anxious as I am naturally or have a panic attack I’m on a really high dose of xanax three times a day which ALSO makes me tired. It’s worth it for the benefits but it’s not fun walking around tired all the time and I have to drink A LOT of coffee or energy drinks to feel anything from them and when I do that, I end up super jittery, my heart races (I cannot tell you the amount of times I’ve had to calm my doctor down by telling him not to worry, I’ve just had six cups of coffee and an energy drink before I came in for my appointment. Turns out, he doesn’t like hearing that either but it’s better than the panic attack I feel like I give him every time he checks my vitals, lol.) and more anxious than I should be considering the medication I’m on and then there’s the crash that leaves me curled up in bed not being able to sleep but feeling like I’m already sleeping, IT’S A MESS!! So now that you know my full medical history and why I wanted to try this stuff out, here’s my experience…

Like I said, I’ve been taking it for weeks now and I’ve had a really good experience with it! I actually HATE the taste of ginseng. Like, keep your nasty, bitter ginseng tea far away from me so I was worried it would taste gross but it doesn’t really taste or smell like anything. The ginseng comes in a capsule that vaguely smells of whatever material they use to make that dissolvable capsule out of and tastes the same (if you’ve ever taken a supplement or capsuled medication before you’ll know what I’m talking about, it’s mild and not unpleasant.) Sometimes when I take supplements when I burp I’ll get a weird taste and I haven’t had that with these at all. It also hasn’t caused any issues with acid reflux like some other supplements I’ve used have, all in all I actually haven’t experienced a single negative thing I could bring up since I’ve been using it so that’s good! It says to take two of them twice daily so I’ve been taking them in the morning and afternoons and that’s been working well for me! I’ve definitely noticed an increase in my energy levels not just mentally but physically, as well. Normally when I drink coffee or something like that my brain feels less tired but my body doesn’t, but with these my body actually feels less tired so I’m more willing to get up and actually do things that I wouldn’t normally because it sounds physically exhausting. I was actually sore the first week of taking it because I was doing more than usual without realizing it and so my muscles were getting worked out more than they usually are (which is zero) so that’s a good sign! Like I said earlier, caffeine causes me to feel jittery, my heart races, and then I have the crash but I don’t experience any of that with these. I actually feel weirdly relaxed. I looked it up after and it said that that was normal but I wasn’t expecting that. Honestly I was worried about it affecting my anxiety or keeping me awake because I already have trouble sleeping but like I said, my body has felt weirdly MORE relaxed even though I have more energy and even weirder, I feel like I’m sleeping better. It’s possible that I’m just sleeping better because I’m getting more done in the day and not feeling as restless at night but either way something that keeps me alert and energized throughout the day without triggering my anxiety and also helps me sleep BETTER at night and counteract the sleeping medication’s effects the next day? It’s been pretty amazing.

I know that my personal experience is a little unique because not all of you have the same body and mind as me but if you experience anything similar this might be a great tool for you and if you don’t and you’re just a tired person or you want to kick coffee, this should work for you, too. It’s not specifically intended for any one type of person, I just wanted to give you my personal experience with it because before I took it I read the reviews online and nobody was really answering my specific questions so maybe I answered some of yours here! Also, this isn’t just for fatigue! Red ginseng is supposed to be great for a lot of things like immune support (which I could use because my immune system is as weak as my muscles and I’m sick all the time), it’s an antioxidant so it’s supposed to help reduce inflammation, it could help lower your blood sugar, some people have experienced decreased stress levels, and the list goes on so I definitely recommend looking into it! I want to give the ol’ disclaimer, though! Please talk to your doctor FIRST before you go making any purchases from Korea because there’s some warnings on the side of the bottle that say to consult with a doctor if you’re breast feeding, have diabetes, are taking any medications, etc. and I know that’s all standard but considering the fact that it could interact negatively with your personal medications or affect your diabetes because it DOES say in the that it could lower your blood sugar and I know that’s important with diabetes PLEASE talk to your doctor before taking these. Literally talk to your doctor before you take anything they’re not prescribing, please! I literally consulted my doctor when I started taking hair, skin, and nail gummy vitamins just to be safe so IN THIS ONE CASE I am a good example and you should take after me and consult with your doctor. You can do it over the phone, you don’t even have to go in! Just have the ingredients ready to ask about! Ok, I’m done being a walking, talking warning label.
